Spinel 3.18 Carat from Burma (Myanmar) – Light Pink – Untreated

Description

This beautiful pink spinel is a bit more pink in person than the photos, video coming soon!

Spinel is a unique gem. It comes in many colors, and has a special appearance to it. Any spinel over two carats is rare and nice stones over three carats are extremely rare. When you get over five carats, you better have some serious cash! A 5 carat spinel is more rare than a 5 carat sapphire or ruby, speaking of facet grade stones. There are several mines in the world that produce spinel, but for whatever reason, they come out in small amounts, and generally smaller stones.

Spinel is a tough gem, so it has great wearability and the variety of color tone is amazing!
